Routes are how Placify turns your scattered saved places into an actionable travel plan. Instead of bouncing between apps or trying to figure out the best order to visit multiple spots, you can create a route that connects everything in a logical sequence — saving time and making your day flow smoothly.
What a route can do
A route in Placify connects multiple places into a single itinerary. Once created, you can:
- See all the stops on one map
- Get an optimized path that minimizes travel distance
- Estimate travel time between stops
- Open turn-by-turn navigation to each stop
How to create a route
Step 1: Start a new route
Tap the ’+’ button on the main screen, then choose “Routes” from the options. This opens the route builder.
Step 2: Select your places
You’ll see a list of your saved places. Select the places you want to include in the order you’d like to visit them. You can:
- Browse all your saved places
- Filter by view to only see places from a specific collection
- Search for a place by name
- Tap places in the order you want to visit them
Step 3: Generate the route
Once you’ve selected all your stops, tap “Generate.” Placify creates your route and displays it on the map, showing the path connecting all your selected places.
Step 4: Review and adjust
After generating, you can:
- Drag stops to reorder them
- Add more places to the route
- Remove stops you’ve decided to skip
- Tap any stop to see its details, photos, and notes
Tips for route optimization
- Group places by area. If you’re visiting a large city, create separate routes for different neighborhoods rather than trying to cover everything in one go.
- Consider opening hours. Check the details of each place before finalizing your route order — you don’t want to arrive at the restaurant after it closes.
- Start with the farthest stop. If you’re walking or driving, consider starting at the location farthest from your base and working your way back.
- Build in breaks. Good routes leave room for spontaneity. Don’t pack too many stops into one route — leave time to enjoy each place.
Once your route is set, you can use the built-in directions feature to navigate between stops. See our guide on getting directions to a place for more details.
