As your collection grows, you may find that some views are no longer needed. Maybe a trip has come and gone, or you’ve reorganized your places into a different structure. Deleting a view helps keep your workspace clean without losing any of your saved places.

Important: Your places are safe

When you delete a view in Placify, only the view itself is removed — the grouping or folder that held your places together. Every place you saved remains safely on your personal map. Think of it like removing a playlist without deleting the songs inside. Your places will still appear in any other views they belong to, and they’ll always be accessible from your main map and place list.

How to delete a view

  1. Navigate to the Views homepage. This is where all your views are displayed.
  2. Find the view you want to remove. Browse or scroll through your list of views.
  3. Tap the ’···’ menu in the top-right corner of the view card.
  4. Select “Delete” from the menu that appears.
  5. Confirm the deletion. Placify will ask you to confirm before permanently removing the view.

Once deleted, the view cannot be restored — though again, none of your places will be lost in the process. If you accidentally delete a view, you can easily create a new one and add the same places back.

Before you delete

  • Consider whether renaming or repurposing the view might be a better option than deleting it.
  • If the view is shared with others, deleting it will remove their access to that particular grouping.
  • Trip-specific views can be kept as a record of past travels — they don’t take up any storage space and serve as a nice archive.
