Family Sharing is a popular Apple feature that lets you share App Store purchases and subscriptions with up to five family members. Here’s what you need to know about Family Sharing and Placify Pro.

Current availability

At this time, Placify Pro does not support Family Sharing. Each person who wants to use Placify Pro will need their own individual subscription.

We know this isn’t ideal for families or couples who both use Placify, and it’s a feature we’re actively considering for the future. Many users have requested the ability to share a Pro subscription with their travel partners or family members, and we’re listening.

Why it matters

We understand the use case: you and your partner are planning a trip together, both saving places to Placify, and it would be great to share a single Pro subscription between your accounts. Or your family uses Placify to keep track of everyone’s favorite spots, and you’d like Pro features across the board.

These are exactly the kinds of scenarios we want to support, and Family Sharing is the natural way to do it on Apple’s platforms.

What you can do in the meantime

While we work toward Family Sharing support, there are a few ways to get the most out of Placify with your family or travel group:

  • Each person can use the free tier of Placify, which is genuinely useful and includes core features like place saving, views, routes, and sharing.
  • If one person has Pro, they can share individual places and routes with others via the sharing feature. See our sharing guide for details.
  • For couples or close travel partners, consider sharing a single account if that works for your situation.
